Funds will support their Meals on Wheels program
Bronx, NY - Senator Jeff Klein announced $100,000 in state funding for Emerald Isle Immigration at the Bronx office’s annual Christmas luncheon on Monday afternoon. The state grant will support their Meals on Wheels Program, which delivers over 9,000 meals annually to homebound seniors within Senator Klein’s district.
“I’m proud to again secure much-needed funding for the important Meals on Wheels program. This grant will enable volunteers to continue to deliver warm and healthy meals to seniors within my district,” said Senator Klein.
“Senator Klein understands the importance of our Meals on Wheels program and the human interaction we can provide to our vulnerable and homebound neighbors,” said Siobhan Dennehy, Executive Director of Emerald Isle Immigration Center. “Our program succeeds daily because of this financial support and because of the dedication of all our volunteers and staff. We thank the Senator for helping us to provide continued financial support for this important initiative.”
