Senator John Flanagan (2nd Senate District) recently visited the students of Paul J. Gelinas Junior High School to discuss his role as a state senator. The visit was arranged by Principal William S. Bernhard to enable the students an opportunity to hear from Senator Flanagan about the New York State Senate and to hear their thoughts on the issues important to them.
After opening the meeting with a quick summary of New York State Government, Senator Flanagan answered a num
ber of questions from the students about a wide-range of state issues.
"The opportunity to visit and hear from students is one of the most rewarding and enjoyable parts of being an elected official. It was my pleasure to provide these students with a quick glimpse into their state government and to have a discussion with them on important state issues. I greatly appreciate their hospitality and would like to thank Principal Bernhard for the invitation to join them,” stated Senator Flanagan.
