Senator Kaminsky met with Rockville Centre Pack 31, Den 2 Webelos to help them earn the “Building A Better World Advancement Pin.” The pin is one of five required to receive the final badge before transfer to the Boy Scouts.
“Developing young men into the leaders of tomorrow is a noble and important task,” said Senator Todd Kaminsky. “I was happy to teach these scouts about serving the community, and I’m sure I’ll be reading about their accomplishments in the future.”
Assistant Den Leader Mike O’Hare commended the Senator afterwards, saying, “We had a great meeting with the Senator. He was very engaging, and I think the scouts learned a lot.”
The boys asked questions ranging from the Senator’s background as a prosecutor to Revolutionary War history. If the young men stay on track, they will transfer to the Boy Scouts in February 2018. There are five pins required to earn the necessary badge.
