Senator Tedisco Tours Fulton County Sheriff's Office to Listen to "Security Experts" About Fulton County's Public Safety Needs

Senator Jim Tedisco (R,C,I,REF-Glenville) toured the Fulton County Sheriff's Office and met with Sheriff Richard Giardino and his staff to discuss a number of public safety issues impacting Fulton County residents.

Tedisco visited the Sheriff's Office's 911 Response center, learned about the department's efforts to keep our schools and communities safe from violence and crime, as well as its response to the heroin and opioid epidemic. He also saw a demonstration of some new technology used to help find and safely locate people with Alzheimer's Disease and Autism when they wander off and go missing.

Senator Tedisco also welcomed new Fulton County Undersheriff Dan Izzo, who is a retired NAVY SEAL. 

"One of the most important jobs of an elected representative is to listen to their constituents. As we work on the New York State budget and focus on the importance of school safety, I wanted to hear first-hand from the security experts, Sheriff Giardino and his outstanding team, about Fulton County's public safety needs and how I can continue to be a strong voice on that issue in the New York State Senate," said Senator Tedisco.
