Senator Larkin Announces Over $275,000 In Grant Funding For Construction Projects At Three Local Libraries

Senator Bill Larkin (R-C-I, 39th Senate District) is announcing that three locals libraries will be receiving a combined total of over $275,000 in state aid for construction projects.
Cornwall Public Library will be receiving over $116,000 for interior and exterior library upgrades. Highland Falls Library will be receiving over $25,000 to rebuild and repave their parking lot. Finally, Moffat Library of Washingtonville will be receiving over $135,000 to renovate an adjacent building, which will provide meeting space and storage.
“Our local libraries provide invaluable services to the community, especially through its programs for children and seniors. This new funding will enable these three libraries to make important new renovations inside and out that will benefit the families and businesses in each of these communities,” said Senator Larkin.
These projects are supported by a $24 million capital fund appropriation in the 2017 State Budget for construction and renovation of public libraries and public library systems in New York State.
