Skoufis Announces $125k to Repair Glenwood Road in Blooming Grove

Senator James Skoufis (D-Hudson Valley) announced a $125,000 grant that he secured has been awarded to the Town of Blooming Grove for road reconstruction and improvements on Glenwood Road. The repaving will begin next month.
“While in the Assembly, and now in the Senate, I have been a loud voice in state government advocating for funding to repair the Hudson Valley’s roads," said Senator Skoufis. "While there's more work to do in Blooming Grove and elsewhere, maintenance at Glenwood Road is welcome news for residents and drivers. Upgrading our infrastructure continues to be a top priority for me and it doesn’t stop here. I look forward to continuing to fight to ensure our residents can get to and from home, school, and work safely.
Charles Quick, Blooming Grove Town Councilman for the 3rd Ward said, “I greatly appreciate the ongoing efforts of Senator Skoufis in supporting our town of Blooming Grove. I look forward with enthusiastic appreciation for the town receiving the funds secured by our Senator. The reconstruction of Glenwood is essential to our efforts in Mountain Lodge Park.”
Senator Skoufis has secured numerous grants for the Blooming Grove/Washingtonville community, including $135,000 for improvements at Vern Allen Park, including the recently opened dog park; $125,000 for the Monell Fire Engine Company in Washingtonville; and $5,000 for the Town of Blooming Grove for improvements at the Tommie McDuffie Memorial Park.
