A bill sponsored by Senator Dan Stec (R,C-Queensbury) to rename the twin bridges across the Saranac River in the Town of Plattsburgh in memory of Trooper Brian S. Falb today passed the state Senate. Trooper Falb passed away due to cancer attributed to his service at the World Trade Center in the aftermath of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.
The Assembly passed the bill creating the Trooper Brian S. Falb Memorial Bridge on Monday. It now waits for Governor Hochul’s signature to become law.
“Trooper Falb’s character and commitment to our communities were exemplary,” Stec said. “He lost his life in the line of service after working as part of the search and recovery efforts on 9/11. I’m glad we can acknowledge his heroism and show gratitude for all he did by renaming the twin bridges over the Saranac in his honor.”
