Stec Slams Democrats for Hyper-Partisan Redistricting
February 3, 2022
“In 2014, voters across our state overwhelmingly supported a constitutional amendment for a independent redistricting process. Instead of heeding that, Senate Democrats moved forward with gerrymandering at its absolute worst.
“Rather than use public testimony and the maps of the Independent Redistricting Commission, they worked behind closed doors to preserve and expand their own political power base.
“This isn’t how our democracy should function, and is another sign of how one-party control of government continues to fail our state.”
