Senator Dan Stec (R,C-Queensbury) welcomed local Queensbury High School students to Albany on Tuesday, as part of the resumed New York State Student Music Association (NYSSMA) performances.
“It was truly an honor to have some of the student-musicians from Queensbury High School in Albany today,” said Stec. “All three groups sounded outstanding and it was a real treat to have them here performing. On a personal note, as much as I enjoyed watching as a Senator, it was especially fulfilling to be able to see my son Peter play in the jazz band. I’m so proud of him and all our Queensbury High musicians.”
The Queensbury High School NYSSMA performances included sets by the:
- Madrigals, directed by Matt Gaulin;
- Chamber ensemble strings, directed by Greg Verheyn; and
- Jazz band, directed by James Cirillo.
