Senator Patrick M. Gallivan (R-C, Elma) announces the Department of Corrections and Community Supervision is once again in the process of recruiting correction officers. Interested individuals must apply for evaluation online at the New York State Department of Civil Service’s website and complete the online questionnaire. The filing deadline is September 15.
“The state is looking for the best candidates possible to serve in correctional facilities across New York and I encourage men and women who are interested to apply,” Senator Gallivan said.
“As a former State Trooper and Sheriff of Erie County, I can attest that CO’s play a critical role in law enforcement. It is a challenging job, but also a very rewarding career.”
