Senator Dan Stec (R,C-Queensbury) today announced that two communities in the 45th Senate District will be receiving a total of $12.25 million in state funding. As part of New York State’s Downtown Revitalization Initiative, Ticonderoga will be receiving $10 million. The Village of Waddington will be receiving $2.25 million from the state’s NY Forward program. Stec is pleased to see this funding awarded and feels it will help the economies of both of these small, rural communities.
“Ticonderoga continues to grow and develop its downtown,” said Stec. “The $10 million from the Downtown Revitalization Initiative will further these efforts and ensure Ticonderoga remains a hub of economic and recreational activities for Adirondack Park residents and visitors alike for years to come.
“Waddington has a great deal of potential and opportunity for further growth and development,” he added. “The NY Forward funding announced today will help the community strengthen its public spaces and boost its local economy, which will have a positive impact on Waddington families and businesses alike.”
