“Every January 27 we commemorate International Holocaust Remembrance Day to remain aware that on this day in 1945 the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp was finally liberated. While the history of this day is tragic, our society must not forget the horrors that were committed during World War II and take time today to remember the victims of Nazi Germany. By remembering those that were killed in the Holocaust we keep their memory alive, and we need to continue advocating for our Jewish neighbors because unfortunately anti-Semitism is still around. We must continue to work together to help eradicate all hate towards our fellow man.”
