Senator Jim Tedisco (R,C-Ballston Lake) today honored Theresa Prehn, a graduating senior from Saratoga Springs High School as the recipient of the 2024 NYS Senate Youth Leadership Recognition Award for the 44th Senate District.
Prehn, who will be attending the U.S. Air Force Academy in the fall, is a member of the USA Luge Junior Candidate Team and was named to the Olympic Development Team when she was in the seventh grade. She was the USA women's team's best finisher at the European Continental Cup race in Austria.
Prehn also runs with the Saratoga Springs girls track and cross country teams.
"Theresa Prehn is an outstanding student scholar athlete who has represented our area and country with distinction as a member of the USA Luge Junior Candidate's Team. She will soon go on to serve our country in the U.S. Air Force Academy as part of the best, brightest and most compassionate fighting force for good on Earth, the members of the United States military. I'm proud to recognize Theresa's accomplishments and bright future with the NYS Senate Youth Leadership Award," said Senator Jim Tedisco.
