Addabbo Commemorates 50th Anniversary of Alfie's Pizzeria & Restaurant
September 20, 2024
Senator Joseph P. Addabbo, Jr. helped commemorate the milestone of a neighborhood institution as Alfie’s Pizzeria & Restaurant in Richmond Hill celebrated its 50 years in business serving up delicious Italian food, by submitting Alfie’s to be recognized as a New York State Historical Business. There was plenty of joy and celebration with community members coming out to taste the wonderful cuisine, view the joyous decorations and come together in unity and pride. For the children in attendance there were rides, cotton candy and popcorn. On September 15, 2024, Senator Addabbo presented the owners, brother and sister, Luigi and Rossella Muto with a citation to mark the anniversary and the official designation for inclusion into New York State Historic Business Registry.
“Congratulations to Alfie’s on reaching this incredible milestone of 50 years,” Senator Addabbo said. “This beloved establishment has not only served delicious food, but has also created a sense of community, bringing friends and families together. Alfie’s commitment to quality and service has made a lasting impact, and I look forward to many more years of enjoying their pizza. To honor Alfie’s rich history and a bright future, I was proud to work on their induction to the New York State Historic Business Registry.”
