Senator Nathalia Fernandez Earns Perfect Score from New York League of Conservation Voters (NYLCV)

Bronx, NY – Senator Nathalia Fernandez is proud to announce that she has received a perfect score of 100% on the 2024 New York State Environmental Scorecard, released by the New York League of Conservation Voters (NYLCV). The scorecard evaluates legislators based on their support for critical environmental legislation during the 2024 legislative session.

“I’m honored to be recognized by the NYLCV for my commitment to environmental justice and conservation,” said Senator Fernandez. “In the face of escalating climate crises, we must continue to push for sustainable policies that protect our communities and our planet. I remain dedicated to advancing bold climate initiatives and ensuring that we leave behind a cleaner, safer, and healthier New York for future generations.”

The 2024 NYLCV Scorecard highlights the progress made by lawmakers in passing key environmental bills. Senator Fernandez has been a staunch advocate for measures aimed at tackling climate change, promoting clean energy, and improving public health through environmental justice.

Among the legislative successes noted in this year’s scorecard are bills expanding the Food Donation and Scraps Program, supporting electric vehicle charging infrastructure, and protecting wildlife crossings. These efforts are vital to curbing emissions and building a more sustainable future for New York.

As the General Election approaches, the NYLCV scorecard provides voters with a clear overview of their legislators’ performance on climate and environmental issues. Fernandez’s perfect score underscores her commitment to fighting for environmental justice, especially for disadvantaged communities that are disproportionately affected by climate change and pollution.

“I will continue to work with my colleagues to build on this progress and ensure that New York State remains a leader in environmental policy,” Fernandez added.
