Today, Dutchess County Executive Sue Serino and Sheriff Kirk Imperati, joined by Senator Rolison and colleagues in the legislature, announced the launch of a targeted recruitment campaign, ‘Stronger Support. Safer Work. Better Careers.’ aimed at recognizing and encouraging former New York State corrections employees to apply for positions within the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office and the Dutchess County Justice and Transition Center.

"As a former law enforcement officer, I understand firsthand the challenges faced by those who dedicate their lives to public safety. Dutchess County’s proactive approach to recruiting experienced corrections professionals is a testament to their commitment to both workforce development and community safety. By providing strong support, and meaningful career opportunities, this initiative ensures that those who have served with integrity can continue their mission in a safe and supportive environment. I commend County Executive Serino and Sheriff Imperati for their leadership in addressing this critical need," said Senator Rolison.
