Brooklyn, NY – New York State Senator Stephen T. Chan (R-17th Senate District), in collaboration with the MTA Chinese Association, invites the public to attend a Public Transportation Safety Seminar aimed at educating residents on crucial safety practices while using the MTA subway system.

 

  • This event will provide essential safety tips, including:
    • Basic subway system knowledge and best practices
    • Steps to take if personal belongings fall onto the tracks
    • How to respond if you witness someone fall onto the tracks
    • Self-rescue techniques if you fall onto the tracks
    • Strategies to minimize risk while riding the subway
    • Emergency procedures for fires, shootings, and other critical situations
