As we approach the end of the Year of the Wood Dragon and begin anew in the Year of the Wood Snake, I wanted to take a moment to speak to my constituents in the Asian community. I wish you a happy Lunar New Year.

Today, we’re not only reminded of how far we’ve come, but how much farther we can go. That a new year is a time for new beginnings, new challenges, and new perspectives in the everchanging story of our lives. That we are the writers of our own stories. May you face these challenges head on and with an open heart and an open mind.
