Know Your Utility Rights Virtual Information Session

I hosted a virtual information session with the Public Utility Law Project to learn about utility rights. Gas and electric costs make up a significant part of most household costs, but many New Yorkers don’t know that state law guarantees certain consumer protections. During this virtual conversation, we discuss how to read your electric and gas bill, what to do if you fall behind on your bills, available financial assistance programs, and how to avoid a “shut-off.”
