Roundtable of the Impact of Artificial intelligence on the Economy and Workforce

Senator Kristen Gonzalez joined legislators, labor organizers, and civil society and industry experts to discuss AI's impact on hiring, worker training, surveillance, and job displacement. The panel discussed the challenges of modern technology on the horizon and how we can prepare the workforce for an AI-disrupted and AI-transformed workplace.

As Chair of the Internet and Technology Committee, Senator Gonzalez is committed to acknowledging the introduction of new technologies, like AI, into the workforce, while also focusing on oversight, continuous assessment for bias and efficacy, workforce development, education, and equal access for underserved communities.
