Tell Albany: NO to an MTA Payroll  Tax increase in this year’s state budget!

Apparently, congestion pricing isn’t enough to fill the MTA’s coffers. The MTA’s own data shows that the agency has been rife with inefficiencies, waste and fraud. Now the MTA claims it faces a $33 billion budget deficit, and in order to keep the agency solvent, there has been talk of a full blown return of the MTA Payroll Tax in this year’s state budget.

 

Instead of taxing jobs and small businesses, New York’s leaders should focus on making our state affordable and holding the MTA accountable. We deserve better, and you can make your voice heard by signing my petition! Tell Albany: NO to an MTA Payroll Tax increase in this year’s state budget!
