Urge the Governor to Sign Senator Helming's Rural Suicide Prevention Council Bill

Dear Governor Hochul,

I support Senator Helming's bill (S3587A) to create a Rural Suicide Prevention Council and ask that you sign it into law.

The council would be responsible for proposing actionable recommendations on legislation, policy and funding to help reduce rates of suicide and suicidal attempts among rural residents. This will also provide greater equity for New York’s rural communities.

We all have a role to play in preventing suicide.
