Free Senior Scam Prevention Seminar
- Senior Scam Prevention
Senator Sue Serino, in partnership with the Division of Consumer Protection, will host Free Senior Scam Prevention Seminars, providing informative presentations on ways area seniors can recognize scams and avoid becoming the victim of identity theft. These seminars will be held on Wednesday, September 19th at the Putnam Valley Senior Center (11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.), and Thursday, September 20th at the East Fishkill Community Center (1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.).
“The techniques scam artists use are ever evolving and as Chair of the Senate’s Aging Committee, I want to ensure that our area seniors have the tools they need to avoid being victimized,” said Senator Sue Serino. “Information is power so I encourage all area seniors, children of aging parents, and caregivers to attend these free events.”
While an RSVP is not required to attend these free events, it is appreciated. To reserve your spot today, please call Senator Serino’s District Office at 845-229-0106.
