MWBE Mid Hudson Regional Opportunities EXPO
- MWBE (Division of Minority and Women Business Development)
The MWBE Opportunities EXPO brings together the various New York State agencies/authorities that have a significant presence in each region to provide MWBE firms with local networking opportunities. In addition to providing the prospect of meeting procurement officers, the event will also feature several workshops and panel discussions to deliver important information about doing business with New York State.
The EXPO will include a panel discussion on the Regional Economic Development Council, key projects in the specific region, and the MWBE goal setting process for these projects. In coordination with the Regional Offices, MWBEs will receive information on how to find opportunities for their participation on these key projects.
Finally, the EXPO will include a NYS MWBE BOOT CAMP designed to bring together technical assistance resources that are locally available for MWBE firms. Participants for the BOOT CAMP include: the Small Business Development Center (SBDC); Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC); the Small Business Administration (SBA); and ESD’s Entrepreneurial Assistance Program (EAP) Centers in that region. Additional MWBE advocacy organizations will be included as is appropriate for the region.
