New York City roundtable, hosted in Bayside, will include testimony from local education stakeholders
(Bayside, NY) The State Senate Education Committee and the Committee on Budget & Revenues will hold their fifth roundtable discussion to hear from stakeholders regarding the components of the Foundation Aid Formula. Senator Shelley Mayer, Chair of the Senate Education Committee, will lead the hearing in partnership with Senator Brian Benjamin, Chair of the Senate Committee on Budget and Revenues and Senator John Liu, New York City Education Committee Chair. The roundtable will focus on how Foundation Aid meets student, district, and community needs with the goal of achieving greater equity in school financing. This will be the last statewide roundtable before a December 3 Public Hearing in New York City.
