Senator Elaine Phillips and the New York Legal Assistance Group (NYLAG) will be holding a free program in Franklin Square to provide free legal services to those in need.
The Mobile Legal Help Center will be at the Franklin Square Public Library on Friday, May 18 from 10 am to 3 pm. The Mobile Legal Help Center, which is a partnership between the New York Legal Assistance Group (NYLAG) and the New York State Office of Court Administration, brings free, civil legal services directly into communities.
NYLAG staff will be available to provide free legal assistance to local residents on issues related to:
Domestic violence
Family Law
Healthcare and disability benefits
Housing (tenants only)
Identity theft and consumer credit issues
Advance Planning
Individuals should bring with them any documentation related to their situation that may be useful to the NYLAG staff in providing assistance.
Residents of the 7th Senate District who would like more information about the free legal services program on May 18 or would like to make an appointment should call Senator Phillips’ office at 516-746-5924. Appointments are required.
