Chairman Mark Grisanti (R, I-60) will be hosting a free electronics recycling
collection event in the Town of Hamburg.
"As the Chairman of the New York State
Senate Environmental Conservation Committee, we must dispose of our electronics
both responsibly and safely. We have previous held successful events in the Town
of Tonawanda and the Town of Grand Island where we have collected literally
hundreds of thousands of pounds of electronics. I hope the residents of Hamburg
and the surrounding communities take advantage of this free opportunity to
clean out their homes and dispose their old electronics safely," said
Senator Mark Grisanti.
WHEN:
Saturday, August 17, 9am-2pm
WHERE:
Hamburg Town Hall
6100 South Park Avenue
Hamburg,
NY 14075
WHY:
Finding ways to properly dispose of unused or
obsolete electronics can be very difficult. This results in the
environmentally-unfriendly disposal of tons of electronics. This green
alternative is not only convenient for those WNYers who have nowhere to turn to
get rid of their unused electronics, but it is also a healthy option for our
environment.
WHAT:
This Free electronics recycling drop off will provide
professional disposal of items both large and small to ensure they do not end
up harming the environment. People can bring items such as computer monitors,
printers, fax machines, home phones, televisions, and video game consoles to
dispose of properly. Load up the car and professionals will unload at site.
