Free Legal Assistance Program- Westbury

Senator Jack Martins (R-Mineola) announced that he will be sponsoring a program in Westbury to provide free legal services to those in need.
Senator Martins has arranged to bring the Mobile Legal Help Center to the Westbury Library, located at 445 Jefferson Street in Westbury, on Wednesday, May 14th from 10 am to 3 pm. The Mobile Legal Help Center, which is a partnership between the New York Legal Assistance Group (NYLAG) and the New York State Office of Court Administration, brings free, civil legal services directly into communities.
NYLAG staff will be available to provide free legal assistance to local residents on issues related to:
• Domestic violence
• Family Law
• Healthcare and disability benefits
• Housing
• Identity theft and consumer credit issues
• Advance Planning
Individuals should bring with them any documentation related to their situation that may be useful to the NYLAG staff in providing assistance. Appointments are recommended but walk-ins will be accepted and served as time permits.
