Free Legal Assistance for Senior Citizens

Senator James Sanders Jr. (D-Rochdale Village, D-Far Rockaway) will host free legal services for senior citizens age 60 or older at his District Office in South Ozone Park, 142-01 Rockaway Boulevard, South Ozone Park, NY 11436 on Monday, December 5, 2016 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Those interested must make an appointment by calling 718-523-3069.  The program is conducted in partnership with Queens Legal Services for the Elderly, a part of the Jewish Association Serving the Aging (JASA).

Assistance will be available relating to the following issues:

Eviction Prevention
Housing Rights
Foreclosure Prevention
Property Fraud
Elder Abuse
Estate Planning
Predatory Lending
Social Security, SSI, Medicare and Medicaid Eligibility

Note: Senator Sanders also currently offers free legal assistance for veterans on the first Thursday of every month at his District Office. Those interested in that program can make an appointment by calling (718) 523-3069.
