Sanders to Provide Utility Bill / Property Tax Assistance

New York State Senator James Sanders Jr. (D-Rochdale Village, Far Rockaway) will be hosting a four-part event series to provide his constituents with property tax exemptions and utility bill reduction assistance. Representatives from the following agencies will be present: NYS Comptroller's Office, NYC Department of Finance, NYC Department of Environmental Protection, Margert Community Corporation and Neighborhood Housing Services of Jamaica.

Help will include:

• Saving a minimum of $300 on property taxes
• Assistance with rent freeze applications
• Delinquent water bill assistance
• Learning how to conserve energy and water to reduce utility bills
• Inquires about unclaimed funds
