Community Clergy Breakfast

Recent police-civilian shootings has sparked rage and concern across our nation and community. It is important to have meaningful discussions on how to resolve incidents of violence between police and the community. We invite the faith-based leaders to get involved and join us in continuing our conversation in strengthening police and community relations.

This clergy breakfast presentation by the Innocence Project and the Police Reform Organizing Project (PROP) will focus on the methods used by local law enforcement that routinely and disproportionately affect our city's low-income communities and people of color. The Innocence Project focuses on exonerating wrongfully convicted individuals through DNA testing and reforming the criminal justice system to prevent future injustice. The presentation will train clergy on shaping their communities with similar strategies of advocacy on much needed police reform.
