Drop Off Your Valentine's Day Cards and Donations for Local Veterans at Senator Addabbo's Offices

With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, State Senator Joseph P. Addabbo, Jr. is partnering with community organizations and elected officials to collect items for the elderly and disabled veterans at the NYS Veterans Home at St. Albans.

You can drop off items at Senator Addabbo’s District Office, located at 84-16 Jamaica Avenue in Woodhaven, and his Middle Village office at 66-85 73rd Place in Middle Village. Acceptable donations are toiletries, sugar-free candy, new underwear, T-shirts, socks and sweats for men and women veterans. Donations will be collected until February 10, 2025. Addabbo is also accepting Valentine’s Day cards which he will hand-deliver to the veterans.

“Valentine’s Day is a perfect opportunity to show our appreciation and love for the brave men and women who have served our country,” Addabbo said.  “I encourage everyone to participate in this initiative, as even the smallest gesture can make a significant impact on our veterans’ lives.”
