Addabbo's Job Fair is Coming Back to Resorts World Casino This November

Securing employment can be a daunting challenge in today's economic landscape, especially in New York State, where the unemployment rate is reported at 4.4% higher than the national rate of 4.1% according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. To help address this issue, State Senator Joseph P. Addabbo, Jr. is once again hosting his free Job Fair this November in Ozone Park.

On Friday, November 8, 2024, a wide array of companies eager to hire new employees will gather at Resorts World Casino, located at 110-00 Rockaway Boulevard, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Job seekers are encouraged to dress in professional attire and bring multiple copies of their resumes to distribute to potential employers.

“This is a highlight of my annual calendar, and I’m deeply thankful to our host site, Resorts World Casino, and co-sponsor The Queens Chamber of Commerce for their support in creating job opportunities for our community,” Addabbo said. “Facilitating employment for individuals is one of the most significant roles I play as an elected official. I urge anyone seeking a job to attend the Job Fair and explore all the available options. Over the years, many constituents have returned to share their success stories after finding jobs at this event, and there’s truly no greater satisfaction than that.”

Resorts World offers free parking directly across from the casino entrance, and the venue is fully wheelchair accessible, ensuring it is welcoming to all.

Businesses that are expanding, startups looking to build their teams, or established companies struggling to find the right talent are encouraged to reach out to the Senator’s office for a complimentary table at the Job Fair. Addabbo has a proven track record of connecting job seekers with employers at this annual event.

Companies, organizations, recruiters, and agencies across the Tri-State area are invited to participate in this Job Fair, free of charge. Each registered company will have an assigned table with chairs and may request access to a power source. Job seekers will have the opportunity to walk around the event space and interact with each table.

For more information, including the names of which companies are participating, please contact Senator Addabbo’s Office at 718-738-1111.
