Addabbo Hosts Festive Back-to-School Concert in Support of Local Youth and Music Education

If you are interested in an exhilarating back-to-school concert that celebrates the joy of education and showcases the remarkable talents of student musicians, Senator Joe Addabbo has an event for you. In partnership with the Senator, Harmony 4 All invites the community to a special free event on Friday, September 13, 2024, at 3 p.m. in the auditorium of P.S. 97 – The Forest Park School, located at 85-52 85th Street, Woodhaven.

Everyone is welcome to enjoy an enchanting musical experience featuring works by underrepresented composers and musicians, often overlooked in mainstream repertoire due to race, gender, and class. To engage the young audience, Harmony 4 All will include a sing-along segment, allowing students to learn about orchestral instruments in a fun and interactive way.

Harmony 4 All is committed to empowering underserved students through music education, recognizing its profound ability to enrich emotional and intellectual growth. By removing financial barriers and providing essential musical resources, they inspire students to explore their passion for music and artistic expression.

This event will not only highlight the musical talent of youth from the community, but will also support the vital mission of Harmony 4 All, paving the way for a brighter future for aspiring musicians.

“I am proud to help facilitate this event that showcases the musical talent of our local youth, while promoting the important vision of Harmony 4 All in expanding music programs in our schools,” said Addabbo. “Listening to classical music is a wonderful way to appreciate the arts.”

Additionally, Harmony 4 All is collecting musical instruments to donate to schools in need as part of an ongoing initiative. To contribute, please visit the Harmony 4 All website at harmony4all.org and reach out through the “Contact Us” page.
