To help combat bullying and raise awareness about this growing problem, Senator Hannon and Child Abuse Prevention Services Long Island are holding a seminar Tuesday, November 27th from 7:00 pm to 9 pm at Levittown Library (1 Bluegrass Ln, Levittown).
This 1 1/2 hour Child Abuse Prevention Services (CAPS) workshop will:
- Help you differentiate between normal conflict and true bullying
- Teach you to recognize 'red flags'
- Provide you with the necessary tools to respond, act and cope with bullying situations
- Provide you with the tools necessary to create an action plan
- Assist you in fostering a healthy dialogue with your child
- Discuss the importance of fostering friendships to prevent bullying
