GOLDEN, HYNES, AND MERCHANTS TO ANNOUNCE SAFE STOP PROGRAM TO EXPAND ON MAJOR BROOKLYN COMMERCIAL STRIP
Lutheran Medical Center Ambulance to Highlight Mobile Safe Stop Program
Brooklyn – State Senator Martin J. Golden (R-C-I, Brooklyn), Kings County District Attorney Charles J. Hynes, The 13th Avenue Merchants Association, and Lutheran Medical Center will host a press conference, tomorrow, Friday, February 17, 2012, at 1:00 p.m., to announce the addition of fifteen stores along 13th Avenue to the Safe Stop program, at Kaktus, 7511 13th Avenue, in Brooklyn.
In addition, a Lutheran Medical Center ambulance will be at the event to showcase their mobile Safe Stop Program. Lutheran Medical Center was the first hospital in Brooklyn to receive a Safe Stop designation by the District Attorney late last year.
Efforts to increase participation in, and awareness of, the program are designed to improve the safety of all residents and shoppers.
