Crime Prevention Officers Porcello & Anderson will provide the following services to the community FREE!!
V.I.N. Etching Program:
Permanently etches your Vehicle Identification Number into the glass of your automobile. If a car thief attempts to remove numbers, it will leave a scar & make it difficult to sell the glass or auto.
Bicycle Registration:
ID number is engraved & registered with the NYPD to discourage theft and to alert the police. Persons in possession of a registered bike can be arrested for possession of stolen property.
Operation Identification:
Items of value, such as cell phones, I-pads, I-pods, GPS,MP3 players, computers, television, dvd players, stereo equipment etc., are engraved with an identification number and registered with the Police Department.
Combat Auto Theft:
The C.A.T. Program authorizes the police to stop vehicle between the hours of 1 A.M. and 5 A.M. (when many vehicles are stolen) for the purpose of determining if the vehicle is stolen.
Commuter C.A.T. Program:
The C.A.T. program is designed for commuters who park during daytime hours (10 A.M. - 4 P.M.)
H.E.A.T. (Help End Auto Theft):
Persons under the age of 25 cannot drive the vehicle (you must be over 40 years of age to register your vehicle in this program).
