Community Blood Drive - Geneseo
- Blood Drive
I am proud to work with Senator George Borrello and Assemblywoman Marjorie Byrnes to sponsor a Red Cross blood drive at Geneseo High School located at 4050 Avon Road, Geneseo on Thursday, May 21st from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
If you would like to sign up to donate, contact Holly Miller at the Red Cross to make an appointment. You can reach her by email at holly.miller2@redcross.org or by phone at 1-800 RED CROSS. You can also visit their website.
Please know that attending a blood drive is not a mass gathering and social distancing will be a priority. Below are some safety precautions the Red Cross is taking in light of the COVID-19 pandemic:
- Staff, volunteers and donors must wear masks. If you do not have a mask, one will be provided for you.
- All donors will be asked to have their temperature taken before being permitted into the blood drive.
- Hand sanitizer will be available at check-in, health history and refreshment areas.
- Blood donors will be asked to use hand sanitizer prior to using tablets and laptops.
- Donor beds will be sanitized between every donor.
- All staff members will have a temperature check before presenting to work.
- Staff will wear gloves throughout entire blood drive, changing gloves between every donor.
I encourage you to participate, if possible. Thank you for your consideration.
