In honor of Elder Law Day, State Senator Shirley L. Huntley will host a panel forum for the community on essential resources available to senior citizens. The panel will consist of representatives from various government agencies, including the Office of the New York State Attorney General, Community Enrichment & Education, NYS Consumer Protection Board, NYS Energy Research and Development Authority, and NYC Department of Consumer Affairs.
Elder Law Day, also known as Senior Law Day, began in 1993. The annual recognition day provides information to seniors on legal topics most important to them, such as Medicare, Long Term Care and Estate Planning, among other essential issues.
