Nominate an A+ Teacher!
- Teacher Appreciation
HYDE PARK, NY – In celebration of ‘Teacher Appreciation Week,’ Senator Sue Serino is looking to recognize outstanding teachers who made a difference in the school community during the pandemic and who continue to go above and beyond for their students. Local students are invited to nominate a teacher they feel has kept their class on track, found new ways to be creative and engaging in the days of remote and hybrid learning, and exemplifies what it means to be an ‘A+ Teacher.’
Senator Sue Serino said, “When our world was turned upside down last year, our teachers went above and beyond to make sure students stayed engaged and had the support they needed, even in a remote world. Our community is home to some of the most amazing educators, and we are so grateful for the work they do each and every day to better the lives of our students. Teachers do so much more than just educate our children – they serve as mentors, confidants, and they help students grow to be the best people they can be. We want to recognize their hard work and persistence during this time, and we hope local students will take some time to reflect on the teachers that have made a difference in their life and nominate them for their ‘A+’ work!”
