Free Citizen Preparedness Training for Local Seniors

On Saturday, April 29, 2017 at the Roosevelt Fire Department in Hyde Park Senator Serino is partnering with the American Red Cross to offer a free citizen disaster preparedness training for seniors here in our community.

This program will provide a comprehensive overview of how to prepare for, respond to and recover from both natural and man-made disasters and it will run from 10:30am until 12:00pm.

This particular program aims to ensure that our seniors have the tools necessary to respond to and aid in the event of the kinds of disasters that are most likely to hit our state. It’s a proactive step that community members can take to make sure that they are equipped to handle, respond and recover in the event of any disaster.

The event is free and open to the public and while an RSVP is not necessary to attend, it is appreciated. Please call Senator Serino’s district office at 229-0106 to RSVP by Thursday, April 27th.
