Senator Sue Serino's Season of Giving!
- Season of Giving
Looking to give back this holiday season? My district offices are collecting a wide variety of goods for local organizations across our community, and we would be so appreciative to have your help!
In Dutchess County, donation drives include:
- Food Drive—The winter weather too often makes it challenging for seniors to get the resources they need. Help make the holidays a little brighter for area seniors by donating non-perishable food items to be distributed to local, low-income senior housing communities;
- Toy Drive—Help make the holidays special for children in our community by donating a new toy to the Salvation Army’s Poughkeepsie Corps. Drop off location: Poughkeepsie Corps, 19 Pershing Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY 12601; 845-471-1210; or Senator Serino's Hyde Park Office;
- Troop Collection Drive— Help our local veterans in need this holiday season by donating to Hudson River Housing – Liberty Station. Help us make the holidays special for our veterans by donating personal hygiene products or a pair of warm socks.
Senator Serino’s Hyde Park District Office is located at 4254 Albany Post Road, Hyde Park, 12538 and is open Monday through Friday 9:00am-5:00pm. For questions, please call 845-229-0106.
In Putnam, these drives include:
- Food Drive: Non-perishable food items can be dropped off directly to the Putnam Valley Community Food Pantry located at 337 Peekskill Hollow Road, Putnam Valley, NY 10579 by appointment (call 845-526-3788) or Senator Serino’s Putnam Valley Office;
- Drive to Benefit our Local Veterans: Help our local veterans in need this holiday season by donating daily essential items to United for our Troops. To view their ‘wish list’, visit www. unitedforthetroops.org/wish-list/;
- Drive to Benefit the Putnam County SPCA: Help our furry friends in need this holiday season by donating pet food and toys to the Putnam County SPCA.
