Shed the Meds-Wappinger Town Hall

Did you know that nearly half of young people who inject heroin report abusing prescription pain killers before starting to use the deadly drug?  I’m writing to ask you to help us take a proactive approach to combating the heroin epidemic by getting unused prescription drugs off of our streets.

On Thursday, June 9^th, Join us from 5:00pm-7:00pm for a ‘Shed the Meds’ event at the Wappinger Town Hall (20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls).

All that you have to do is drive up and drop off your unwanted prescription drugs. We take care of the rest! The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office will be on hand to safely dispose of the medications. It’s a simple step that can make a huge difference in our community by helping to keep prescription drugs out of our kids’ hands.
