This #GivingTuesday, Senator Sue Serino is once again launching the annual ‘Season of Giving’ initiative to provide community members the opportunity to give back to local organizations that work to provide support to neighbors in need. Items will be collected for Dutchess Outreach, Mental Health America of Dutchess County Veterans Services and the North East Community Center.

“With the cost of basic necessities on the rise, local organizations are working tirelessly to help support our neighbors, and the annual ‘Season of Giving’ initiative hopes to provide an easy and convenient way for our community to assist these organizations in easing the burden,” said Senator Sue Serino. “The generosity shown by community members year after year for this unique initiative is incredible and allows these organizations to continue their work to further support families in need this holiday season. As individuals begin their holiday shopping, I hope you will consider picking up an extra donation in support of the ‘Season of Giving.’”

The following items are being collected this year:

Dutchess Outreach:

  • Non-perishable food items (canned goods, cereal, pasta, etc.)

Mental Health America of Dutchess County Veterans Programs:

  • Hats, gloves, scarves, and socks for men and women

North East Community Center:

  • Baby items (diapers, wipes, bottles, etc.)

  • Household items (laundry detergent, paper towels, dish soap, etc.)

Donations will be accepted from Monday, November 28,  2022 to Wednesday, December 14, 2022.

Those interested in donating items can deliver them to Senator Serino’s Hyde Park Office (4254 Albany Post Road, Hyde Park, NY 12538) Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM.
