SERINO AND VET2VET BRING BACK IN-PERSON VETERAN APPRECIATION PASTA DINNERS (RED HOOK)

Senator Sue Serino and Mental Health America of Dutchess County Vet2Vet Program will once again come together to honor local veterans at two free appreciation pasta dinners on Sunday, October 16^th at the American Legion in Poughkeepsie (55 Overlook Road, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603) and on Sunday, October 23^rd at the Red Hook VFW (30 Elizabeth Street, Red Hook, NY 12571).

“It is so important that we take every opportunity to fully thank and show our appreciation for our local veterans and their families, and these dinners are a small way to show our gratitude for the many sacrifices they have made,” said Senator Sue Serino. “After adapting this event in a drive-thru format for the past two years, we are especially thrilled to be hosting these dinners in person to give our local veterans the chance to connect with one another and critical services like the Vet2Vet Program. I look forward to joining our community’s heroes at these events and to have the opportunity to thank them again for all that they do.”

Sen. Sue Serino has long been an advocate for our local heroes, and we appreciate her again supporting them by hosting her annual Veterans Appreciation Pasta Dinner. So much more than a meal, this event provides local veterans camaraderie and the opportunity to connect with their fellow heroes – elements so vital to their well-being. We thank Sen. Serino for her continued assistance for Dutchess County’s veterans, and I look forward to seeing many of my fellow former servicemembers at this great event.”

Thanks to the support of the PFC Joseph P. Dwyer Vet2Vet Program, this event is free and open to Dutchess County veterans and one guest. The PFC Joseph P. Dwyer Program uses a unique peer-to-peer approach to offer non-clinical support and assist veterans who may be struggling with PTSD, TBI or other mental health challenges.
