TACKLING TICKS: FAMILY DISCOVERY DAY

On Sunday, September 15, 2019, Senator Serino will be hosting a unique event specially geared toward children and families to raise critical awareness about Lyme and tick-borne diseases (TBDs). Using games, crafts, treats and music, the event aims to help children and guardians learn how to protect themselves while they continue to enjoy all of the outdoor activities that make the Hudson Valley so unique. Area experts will be on hand to answer questions, demonstrate best practices and provide residents with important information.

Senator Sue Serino said, “While summer may be winding down, ticks are still active and continue to pose a threat into the upcoming fall months. When it comes to Lyme and TBDs, children are particularly vulnerable, so it is so important that kids and parents have access to up-to-date information. This unique and interactive event is a fun way for families to get the tools they need to stay tick-free and we hope you will join us on Sunday, September 15th!”

This event is free of charge to all who attend. RSVP is not required.

If you have any questions regarding this event, please contact Senator Sue Serino’s Hyde Park Office at (845)-229-0106.

Members of the local media are welcome and encouraged to attend.
