Recently, Senator Sue Serino honored a group of dynamic local women who are making a difference here in our community at a ceremony in Poughkeepsie. Due to the interest generated by that event, Senator Serino will be hosting a follow-up women’s networking event to continue connecting dynamic women in our local community with one another.
On Wednesday, September 26th, area women will have the opportunity to hear from others who have taken unique paths to get involved in the community, and meet area women who are making a difference here in the 41st Senate District and beyond. The event will feature a special keynote address by Senator Catharine Young—The NYS Senate’s first Female Chair of the integral Senate Finance Committee. This free event will be held at the Pirate Canoe Club in Poughkeepsie and will run from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
“As the first woman to be elected to represent the 41st Senate District, I know how invaluable it can be to have a network that you can count on,” said Senator Sue Serino. “That’s why I am thrilled to have the opportunity to host a women’s networking event where local women can make connections with others here in our community. Together, we can make our community an even better place to live and work. I hope that you will save the date and join us for another great event!”
The event is free and open to the public, but space is limited and an RSVP is required. If you would like to attend, please call Carly Bulgia at 845-229-0106 by Friday, September 21, 2018.
