CAHILL -- read once and referred to the Committee on Labor AN ACT to amend the labor law, in relation to leave for organ or bone marrow donation granted to state employees THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 202-b of the labor law is amended by adding a new subdivision 4 to read as follows: 4. THE PROVISIONS OF THIS SECTION SHALL APPLY RETROACTIVELY TO ANY EMPLOYEE THAT HAS MADE A BONE MARROW OR ORGAN DONATION NO MORE THAN ONE YEAR PRIOR TO AUGUST TWENTY-NINTH, TWO THOUSAND ONE. S 2. This act shall take effect immediately and shall be deemed to be in full force and effect as of August 29, 2001.
