WEISENBERG -- read once and referred to the Committee on Education AN ACT to amend the education law, in relation to credits for educa- tional achievement in office of children and family services facili- ties THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 112 of the education law is amended by adding a new subdivision 1-a to read as follows: 1-A. NOTWITHSTANDING ANY OTHER PROVISION OF LAW TO THE CONTRARY, CRED- ITS AWARDED BY EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS PROVIDED BY FACILITIES OPERATED BY THE OFFICE OF CHILDREN AND FAMILY SERVICES SHALL BE ACCEPTED AS TRANSFER CREDITS BY ANY SCHOOL WITHIN NEW YORK STATE. S 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD03516-01-1
