 AN  ACT  to amend the general business law, in relation to requiring all
   flags sold in the state of New York be one  hundred  percent  manufac-
   tured in the United States

   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. The general business law is amended by adding a new section
 396-hhh to read as follows:
   § 396-HHH. SALE OF FLAGS. ONLY FLAGS  THAT  ARE  ONE  HUNDRED  PERCENT
 MANUFACTURED   IN  THE  UNITED  STATES,  FROM  ARTICLES,  MATERIALS,  OR
 SUPPLIES, ONE HUNDRED PERCENT OF WHICH ARE GROWN, PRODUCED  OR  MANUFAC-
 TURED  IN  THE UNITED STATES, MAY BE SOLD IN THE STATE OF NEW YORK.  FOR
 THE PURPOSES OF THIS SECTION, THE TERM "FLAG" SHALL HAVE THE SAME  MEAN-
 ING  AS  PROVIDED  IN SUBDIVISION ONE OF SECTION FOUR HUNDRED ONE OF THE
 EXECUTIVE LAW.
   § 2. This act shall take effect on the ninetieth day  after  it  shall
 have become a law.
